Description
Hackney Pub Crawl is a collection of illustrations of 26 public house pillars of the Hackney Borough community, now printed individually using giclée on archival paper.
This illustration of The Shakespeare has been created by Lilia Mannarini of Tour Design and is a limited edition print of only 50, all of which are individually signed, stamped and numbered.
The Shakespeare holds the ethos of offering a comfortable, well worn in local pub. Located in a pretty building with a wooden bar, it shows all the comforting signs of patina, lovely original exterior tiles, mosaic floors and Victorian etched glass. Nestled in the back streets of Stoke Newington it has retained its local charm and is proud of being a great example of a welcoming traditional pub complete with TVs for regular football screening, an open fire, jukebox and newly added awnings above the front terrace and rear garden for extra outdoor drinking space.
This print has been bespoke hand-drawn including signage. The final drawing then photographed and digitised before adding layered textures and colours in photoshop. The completed illustration has been compiled into format measuring 29.7cm x 42cm. The final design is an A3 giclée fine art print of professional quality on archival 230gsm matte paper stock.
In view of COVID’s effect on the local community, 10% of Pub Scrawls’ Hackney Pub Crawl sales profits will be donated to Hackney Winter Night Shelter.
Hackney Winter Night Shelter is a Hackney Doorways project. Registered Charity number 1139183. Company number 07064774.
